Resume

I graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education; History-Political Science. While at Concordia, I studied flute with Deborah Harris. I was also a member of The Concordia College Band, Chamber Orchestra, Freshman Mixed Choir, The Concordia College Flute Choir, and various other small ensembles. In 2014 I graduated from Boise State University with my Masters degree in Educational Technology. While at Boise State, I focused on the incorporation of technology into the music classroom and current trends educational technology.

Before moving to Idaho in 2007, I completed my student teaching in Moorhead, MN and taught high school band in Iowa. Since moving to Boise, I taught General Music at Desert Sage Elementary in Meridian and spent seven years as the Director of Bands at Les Bois Junior High in the Boise School District. I am a highly qualified educator and am currently licensed to teach music in Idaho and Minnesota.

I regularly teach masterclasses and serve as a solo and ensemble adjudicator throughout the United States. I have served a volunteer for Music for All (Bands of America) since 2004 and served as a member of Team SWAG in the same organization from 2004-2008. I am also a member of the following professional organizations The National Flute Association, National Association for Music Education, Idaho Music Educators Association and the International Society for Technology in Education.

 

I am an active performer in the Treasure Valley and a full time member of the Treasure Valley Concert Band. Prior to moving to Idaho, I was a member of the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra and the Lennox Municipal Band.
